Welcome to CAN!
Disabilities include physical, cognitive, developmental, and emotional conditions which significantly affect mobility, learning, communication, socialization, and daily living patterns. CAN was begun and is coordinated by Anabaptist Disabilities Network (ADNet) which serves Mennonite and related groups in the United States. However, CAN's tools can be used by a congregation of any faith group. ADNet is securing and seeking additional partners to endorse, promote, support, and use the tools provided through CAN. See the Mission page for more information about CAN's mission and goals. CAN has two major tools which can be used by themselves, but are more effectively used as part of an integrated "Congregational Study Process."
Currently, the Congregational Assessment Survey tool is technically still in a "beta version." What this means is that the tool is has been through an initial stage of testing (alpha testing) and is now ready for public use. The data from the alpha testers was not saved, but any data entered into the survey in the beta version will be permanently saved. However, there may be some bugs yet in the software. In addition, we are in the process of making some changes based on the feedback we have already received. |
